New clients now have the option of attending our On Ramp Program to get prepared for CFD's group classes!
Start Date: September 15th, 2010
Days / Time: MWF @ 7PM
The On-Ramp Program consists of 3 weekly sessions for 4 weeks for a total of 12 sessions. The classes are structured to prepare new clients for the more demanding group classes to come. These sessions consist of movement / exercise instruction and practice along with lesson reviews; warm up techniques and self-care protocols. Of course, there are workouts, too! Instruction and workouts increase in complexity and intensity over the course of the program, progressively improving your fitness and preparedness for the open classes. Groups are limited in size to ensure all clients receive more than adequate personal attention.

Summer Strength and Conditioning Program |

Crossfit Davis is conducting a strength and conditioning program for teenage athletes. If you want to be a stronger, faster and more explosive athlete, this program is for you. Boys and girls ages 12-18 will work on speed and agility, basic barbell movements and Olympic lifting. All levels are welcome. Athletes will learn proper technique for all of the movements from a certified strength coach. The program will start on June 21 and run for eight weeks. The workouts will be on MWF mornings from 1030-1130 at the Crossfit Davis gym. Cost breaks down to just $30 per week.
Rates will be adjusted for latecomers.

Would you like to get more efficient at the snatch? Do you want to put more weight overhead and break your snatch PR? This CrossFit Davis Olympic Weightlifting Workshop is a great opportunity to do just that. This intensive two-hour clinic will teach you the snatch under the guidance of world-class weightlifting coach, Paul Doherty. You will get the chance to progress from PVC and light weights to heavy lifts, as your skill and ambitions allow. You’ll also get to watch as some of Paul’s elite lifters show us how it’s done!
About Guest Coach Paul Doherty
Paul Doherty is the co-founder of Hassle Free Barbell Club and weightlifting coach at Sacramento High School. Since Paul started the program in 2006, Sac High weightlifters have won eleven National Championships, both boys and girls at the 13, 15, 17 and 20-under age groups. Weightlifters from Sac High have represented Team USA at over a dozen international competitions ranging from the Pan Am Championships to the Youth and Junior World Championships. Two of his athletes earned acceptance into the highly select United States Olympic Training Center Resident Athlete Program in Colorado Springs.
